Clean Cars Info Session and Hearing-Mankato

November 19, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Minnesota’s getting ready to make a change.

Governor Tim Walz recently announced the Minnesota Clean Car Standards, a set of administrative rules aimed at reducing air pollution and carbon emissions from vehicles. This is an important step in cutting our dependence on fossil fuels and improving the health of our communities. And it’s only moving forward because of support from ordinary Minnesotans like you.

As part of the rule-making process, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is holding a series of public information sessions and hearings around the state. These hearings are a chance for community members to learn more about these rules and the process and make sure that Minnesota is moving forward with them.

This can be the tipping point for our clean energy future. The transportation sector is the biggest source of pollution in Minnesota, and the Clean Car Standards will set us on the right course towards carbon neutrality. But we need strong, broad rules that make clean transportation work for all parts of the state. And those won’t happen without public support.

Thank you for your support and dedication to making our state a leader in the fight against climate change.
